Overview
About Me
Heyho! I'm Sam, 20, originally from Germany and currently volunteering for the UNESCO at a school in Ulaanbaatar!
Right now I'm on my way to travel from Mongolia to Germany without taking a flight!
I love meeting new people, learn about different cultures, and especially love to explore cities and countries and try different foods.
I'm easygoing, open-minded and very excited to get to know you - whether it is you hosting me or me hosting you! I like going out, but can also definitely appreciate a more relaxed day every now and then.
I also like to cook (and love to learn new recipes), play board and card games, and am also a fan of video games!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I love to listen to a variety of various genres from Metalcore and Alternative Rock/Pop to Indie Pop and Indietronica and Bollywood. I've also been more into Jazz recently. Some of my favourite artists include MGMT, Choir Of Young Believers, The Neighbourhood, Dire Straits, Caskets, Wanda and Berq.
Favourite film:
Wall-E is my absolute favourite.
Also, pretty much most films that involve Tom Hanks.
Usually a fan of drama, comedy, fantasy, and a bit of horror now and then (zombies rule), not that much an action and superhero guy tho (except for Batman). Nevertheless, I'm currently trying to watch all of Marvel in chronological order right now.
I also love musicals, and listened to/watched Hamilton more times than I can count.
Books:
Currently reading Tolstoy's Hadji Murad.
I have been into classics recently and became a fan of Dystopian novels such as 1984, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451 etc.
I also loved the Death-Cast-Series by Adam Silvera, LOTR and other fantasy books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Interrail through Europe - it was an amazing experience. The trip taught me how to be independent and spontaneous, especially since half the trip didn't go as planned.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you in the languages I can speak, and share some of my wildly different experiences of growing up in a migrant family and living in Germany, going to school in Canada, working in Mongolia and traveling all over Central Asia.
Also, I know a few Indian recipes from my grandma.
I'd love to learn more about you, your cultures, food, and daily live!
