To travel as far and as long as possible!
I am a super chill, adventurous kiwi! Love the outdoors and trying new things, going new places and meeting new people.
I get bored easy and change my mind often.
My interests shift every few months and I change my perspective on things regularly. The one thing that hasn't changed is my passion for being outside and interest in critical thinking, challenging the status quo and beer.
I'm super interested in meeting new people and sharing stories. I'll relax when I can, drink coffee and I'm always up for a hearty discussion. My previous work was in in outdoor education, teaching rock climbing, canoeing, rappelling, archery, orienteering and a whole bunch of other activities to kids and adults in British Columbia! I absolutely loved the challenge of working with different demographics; from toddlers to the elderly, the physically advanced to the physically challenged.
I have recently had the chance to work with some amazing NFP groups around British Columbia such as - BC Lung Foundation, Positive living BC and the Canadian Cancer Society!
I very rarely have a plan when I travel, and don't like to organise things more than a couple of days in advance. Not because I'm lazy, but because I like to leave all my options open for spontaneous activities and exploration.
In my opinion there should be more focus inward, learning to enjoy the life you have and the things you do, obviously not to the point of complacency (lack of aspirations isn't great either) but to the point where quality of life is increased via attitude and perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Love to host awesome people in Nelson, New Zealand when I am home and take them climbing but at the moment I'm hoping to surf and meet up with great locals in my travels!
Have couchsurfed for the last 10 months throughout Canada and it has been incredible.
I would never consider travelling any other way. Couchsurfing has provided me with the opportunity to meet some very very cool people and has left me with many wonderful lifelong memories.
Being outdoors, away from concrete jungles, rugby, volleyball + any other sports, fishing, rock climbing, fitness, photography, weightlifting, camping, swimming, kayaking, slacklining, alpinism, coffee, beer, motorcycles.
Anything and everything outdoors based! The list is too big.

I am super curious, I love to learn about spirituality and religion, human performance, nutrition and dietary habits, biohacking and photography.
I would consider myself reasonably knowledgeable and willing to share my interest in exercise, nutrition, injury rehabilitation, rock climbing, hiking, and slacklining!
