I was "Made in Nigeria", rebranded in SE Asia (Brunei), and now I have been shipped to Vancouver BC where I call home.
I am an easy going person with a white hot passion for Sound. I am referred to as a Sound Ninja which basically means I street perform for a living, DJ, and do sound for film (on set and post).

I love meeting new people and experiencing new worlds through the various perspectives I encounter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's fascinating to meet new people and have our worlds collide. Marvelous things come from that. It's also great to save money too! ;)
I want to travel with less hindrances, such as monetary, and be able to connect with my host and through that see my place of visit from a local perspective.

Interests

I have many interests, and they all revolve around my main love: Sound. I like to stay active with fitness and sport so that I can win on stage at a performance at any given time because my cardio is on point. Table tennis is awesome for hand eye coordination. I use this skill when playing the Piano and drums too. Sound design is a given. I incorporate the skills I am capable of and that I have learned for film when making my music. Imagine Jazz mixed with Hip Hop with sprinkles of film style sounds concepts and stories through the sound. It's creative and I love the finished product every time!

I am overcome my introversion and travelled twice around the world self sustained by singing and performing for strangers everywhere leaving a positive impact everywhere I went!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll pass on knowledge about overcoming stagefright.
I once had a wise teacher while going through a course to learn how to teach English abroad. She said, "It doesn't matter that you have the butterflies. You'll always have the butterflies. What matters is how you put those butterflies into alignment." So Wise! I agree with everything she said except one small thing: you'll always have the butterflies. I have learned that with experience through various situations, I have learned how to react in a way that brings me the desired reaction I want from my audience.

In conclusion, I say first, align your butterflies. When you're nervous, transmute that energy to excitement. It's the same feeling as when you feel you're in love and you're about to ask that boy or girl out. It comes to a decision: will you be brave?
Secondly, you are very able to eradicate those butterflies...without pesticides but by a decision as stated in part one of this philosophy. Doing any one thing enough times will open your wise eyes to understand what to do and what not to do. Perseverance and patience is the price you must pay for this wisdom. GOOD LUCK!
