To ferry, walk, bike, motorcycle, fly, train, horseback, hitch hike across as much of the world as possible, while documenting it all!

ABOUT ME

We are young professionals, trying to put of the 'professional' part until we have heads full of memories and the scars to prove it. We are both creative and curious photographers that are trying to experience as much of the world as possible, especially from a locals point of view. We love meeting new people and hearing stories. Chris has a passion for motorcycles which he will sorely be missing when away, a bonus for him would be meeting people who share his passion.

PHILOSOPHY

Such a big question for a tiny box! But to simplify, treat yourself and others well. Do what you love. Take your time. Ask for help. Remember that it's okay to be sad. Admire the beautiful things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sami has lived in Victoria her entire life, and can be a great resource if you want to know some good spots in town (the BEST breakfast places especially). We aren't able to host yet but hope to in the future!
We are both hoping to travel in the Spring of 2012 and want to make as many connections with locals as possible. Learning what makes a city unique from the perspective of someone who knows it well is something we hope to learn and discover.

Interests

We are both photographers so we have a great love of art and creative mediums. Chris is very passionate about motorcycles and motorcycle culture. Sami is a fashion photographer who loves to bake. We both love animals, films, good conversation and great food. We are young, but old at heart. We would prefer a drink at the pub, than a night at the club but we do enjoy dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

We each have an eclectic mix of musical preference. We love all kinds of music but especially folk, bluegrass, alt country, soul, hip-hop, jazz and some popular music.

Sami's favorite films include The Royal Tenenbaums (Wes Anderson's whole collection, really) Little Miss Sunshine, I Heart Huckabees, Never Let Me Go and the whole Studio Ghibli collection
Chris enjoys Marvel and DC Comic films as well as Sci-Fi and Dystopian type films. But again our preferences are eclectic and we are happy if not to discuss the movie, bad or good. We love documentaries.

Sami's favorite authors are JD Salinger, Jeanette Winterson and Haruki Murakami.
Chris enjoys Hunter Thompson and Douglas Adams.

Our favourite TV shows are Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, LOST (discussions may ensue) and The Daily Show / Colbert Report

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life in itself is amazing, but if we had to pick it's be getting lost in the alps and visiting where my mom grew up in the Philippines.
