I am an outgoing person - I love to have all night conversations, make food, listen to music, be with friends, practice speaking new languages, read, write, rock climb, run, hike, swim, make snowmen (generally do anything outside,)and explore new places. I am very laid back, I would love to meet people from anywhere and hear whatever their ideas about the world may be -

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently traveling for the summer after spending nine months living and studying in Lyon France. I will be exploring Greece and Italy all summer before I go back to Portland where I hope to be able to give back to the couchsurfing community by hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Paris, Milan, Edinburgh, Freiburg, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Madrid - and have had many wonderful experiences. I think this website is a wonderful way to overcome cultural barriers - to travel - to see the world from the perspective of a fellow human and not simply a tourist. When I travel I like to "shake hands" with the city I visit, so to speak, to meet people. To this end couchsurfing has greatly benefited me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently the thing which interests me the most is the study of language. I am interested in figuring out how to take pictures of words and ALSO I am interested in doing an artistic rendering of my linguistic discoveries by comparing colloquial expressions in order to reveal the faults and truths underlying purportedly communal and conversational expression. I would love to learn your language!
