Hosting during the week is difficult as I work early mornings so that I can overlap with my colleagues in China. That means you have to be out of my house by 6:15 in the morning. Weekends are much better for me (and my chance to sleep late).

ABOUT ME

Some time ago, I graduated from university, got a job, bought a house, had a steady girlfriend, and did all the things people my age are "supposed" to do. Then, I got bored with all of that and wanted to use my skills to do something more fulfilling.

I went back to school to "find myself" and travel during the long breaks. I am interested in energy issues and specifically on reducing petroleum consumption in the transportation sector. While I will probably never find myself, I learn new things about me all the time.

I love to discover new food, drinks and culture, so I travel as much as I can.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A river.
I lost my compass and got lost in the Andes for a few hours after I wandered away by myself from my tent and supplies as it was getting dark. The condors flying high overhead must have realized I was almost done and were waiting for me to collapse. I cannot imagine ever being more happy than I was at the moment I found the trail back to the campsite that followed along a river.

It is not hard to get me started on energy/environmental topics. I have been working in/studying these issues since 2002 and still have trouble making heads or tails of a lot of things.

I am not only a connoisseur of shenanigans, but also of tomfoolery.
