Hi, so I just spent almost two years in Ireland writing stories and music and radio stuff and dancing and working on a book. The dream is to do all that for a living and make stuff that will help people feel less lonely and more filled with wonder.

I write about magic and history and relationships and where all those things meet. I would describe my aesthetic as Narnia meets The Wire. I also write a lot about being queer/asian-american/raised in a hardcore evangelical christian household.

I love talking to people, hearing about how they've come to terms with themselves and how they feel about where they're from. Also just nerding out about things they love. I love hearing about anything as long as the person speaking is in love with it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to meet people and stay for free in a place because I just finished school and have no money. The thing is, I need to travel for my work. I'm a writer, after all. People and experiences are food for me. I will return the favor with song and dance and storytelling and (maybe cooking?) and great conversation.

I read a fair amount but not as much as I should...as a writer. I love the movie Amelie. Watched Moonlight recently and cried through 80% of it. Love character based tv with a heart-like Parks and Recreation, the 2005 Battlestar. Some favorite books: As I Lay Dying, the Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, good ol' Tamora Pierce books.
