ABOUT ME
Hello everyone!
I've spent a lot of time thinking about what to say on my profile and frankly am a little stumped.
I am from Utah, United States. I also lived in California for four years, and Lima, Peru for one year. Other than that, I haven't been to many places! I think its very important to understand other cultures, so I am always interested in learning about new ones.
I work full time at a company called Chrysalis and am planning to return to school very soon at a local Community College - perhaps for nursing. I am also working on obtaining my CNA at the moment.
I get itchy feet a lot and that's what led me to living in Peru. I'm already getting itchy feet again and thinking of doing the same thing soon in different countries
There is much more to me, but I would love to talk to you about it personally. Please feel free to contact me! I'm very open-minded and I love talking to new people. Unfortunately I only speak English, and basic Spanish, but don't let that stop you from contacting me! If all else fails, google translator can help us out. I don't want a language barrier keeping me from meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is an incredible way to meet people while traveling - and even while at home. I've had some really cool experiences with it thus far.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is the tough question. I'm very open minded when it comes to music, movies, and books (when I get a chance to read). So, I like a lot of stuff!
Music:I really like rap. I also like more mellow stuff, though. My playlists are very diverse - Ab Soul, The White Buffalo, City and Colour, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Naked and Famous, the classics like Bob Dylan or The Beatles. All sorts of stuff. If you show me something new, I can almost guarantee I'll like it.
Movies: I pretty much watch everything!
Books: Right now I'm really into horror books. Stephen King is always a go to - The Shining being my favorite of a long list. Then books like Into Thin Air (or Into the Wild for that matter) are always books I love reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived in Peru for a year - learning Spanish, teaching English, and visiting some family that lives there. Every part of that experience was incredible. If you chat with me, I'm sure you'll hear some stories from it. I learned a lot there.
I also recently went on a 2 week road trip with my sister to visit some national parks that are relatively close to where we live. We hit the Grand Tetons, Glacier, Mt. Rainier, and Crater. Many amazing experiences came from that trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about different cultures. It's not only fascinating, but incredibly rewarding.
I can't teach a whole lot - though I have a bit of experience teaching English as a second language, so I can try to help with that!
