I was birthed with the name Samantha but I proudly introduce myself to everyone as Sammi :) I am at a wise and learning age of 25 years young. I am vivacious, I speak the truth, I always play to the top of my intelligence, I am patient and fair, I have an innate compassion for people and the unknown, I am thoughtful and generous, I take risks, I am brave and bold, I ask myself and others questions to get to the roots, and I breathe and bleed kindness everywhere I go.

I love soaking up nature outdoors, playing sports, enjoying and listening to live music, and living a mobile life. In other words - my spirit is very energetic, enthusiastic and tireless. I try my best to take advantage of and enjoy every minute of every day because I value this life as a precious gift.

I am a writer. A journalist. A poet. A reader. A creator of art and stories. And my favorite action in life is to LAUGH. I love laughter because it's a release of tension, it's purely "being in the moment", and it's infectious :) I have been performing improvisational comedy on stages in Los Angeles for the past two years and it's been the greatest joy of my LA life.

There's nothing that brings me "home" more than listening to understand a stranger's story and world....so that's why I LOVE to travel the world. I get to know a city/country by getting to know it's people :) My passion is people and to find our common denominators, to get people to open up their brilliant hearts, to heal their pain, and to get them closer to their authentic human core.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know your city thru you / your couch! This will be my first time couch surfing - I have always wanted to couchsurf...always - I sure do love sleepovers and spontaneity and my friends rave about this site. I moved out of Los Angeles Fall of 2018 and back home to Sacramento, CA to save up money to Au Pair in the Netherlands and travel around Europe/the world :). I have been in Amsterdam for almost two weeks and the Au Pair gig isn't working out as expected, unfortunately- I remain optimistic tho when it comes to figuring out a way to stay here in this beautiful city/country! I will be in need of a couch or spare room or whatever (I'm super low maintenance) beginning April 29 2019 (perhaps a little earlier- not sure yet)- when I can legally leave the family I'm au pairing for (currently residing in their basement) for a couple of weeks until I figure out a more permanent living arrangement / new visa opportunity. I know it's a lot to ask but I am in a bit of a bind! Perhaps I can pitch in for groceries or pay a weekly fee or something if you find necessary? I am kind, compassionate, enthusiastic and human! and will treat you and your home with care, respect and consideration. Let's be friends! Let's exchange tales and humanity! One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will end my New England road trip in Stowe, VT where I will stay with an author and his family that I tracked down three years ago by phone for a coworkers Christmas present. (ya, I was in love with my coworker). Isn't life magic?!
