I'm an adventure seeking, ambitious and wildly optimistic kiwi gal with a hunger to trot around the globe and meet like-minded (if not slightly eccentric) people. I grew up on a farm on a small island in New Zealand, where I spent the majority of my childhood either riding horses, cliff-jumping, or finding as many wacky places to pitch my tent as possible. After leaving high school, I spent half a year in the USA working as a High Adventure Specialist and Outdoor Education Insctructor, in Missouri. I then traveled the length of America in a van - visiting 17 states in the process...

I am currently living 'off the grid' (yep, no internet, reception, TV, electronics or even insulation) on a 200 year old farm/station house under Mt Ruapehu, National Park. Here, I am working as the supervisor and instructor at a rock climbing gym in Ohakune, where I plan to stay and save for the winter. Although I plan to stay in New Zealand for the rest of the year (I will be travelling the South Island from October-December/January), I will be jetting out of the country at the beginning of 2017 with a one way ticket and my burning ambitions.

I am more than happy to accommodate couch-surfers this winter (if you're okay living with only the bare essentials), during my brief period of settlement! And I hope to have the favor returned in the time to come, as I trot my way around the globe!
