Life is about the journey, not the destination! I believe it's better to have a short but full life rather than a long and empty one. So I say why waste time? We only exist in the now so lets make the most of it. I'm following my dreams of travelling now so surfing is wonderful for me. I really enjoy people's company and having a good ol' laugh :D When I'm ready I will settle in a place for longer, knuckle down and study and offer my home as a host... At least that's the plan.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I first heard about CS when I met an inspiring 40-something year old Swiss traveller on the Tran-Siberean (longest train in the world). I'm on couch surfing because I thought it was a wonderful way to explore the world, share my stories to generous hosts and connect to a large network of other passionate travellers!

兴趣

Writing, reading, learning new languages and cultures, playing with children and friends, sports and exercises like running, yoga, basketball, baseball and football. Also, I love adventurous activities like horse riding, hiking, 4x4 driving offroad, camping, canoeing, rock climbing and I want to try more too!

I am currently writing a fantasy novel based on my own experiences, relationships and adventures. Everyday I want a balance of delicious food with healthy fitness. Meeting new people and socialising with friends is also very important to me but my family will always be first in my heart. My favourite animals are horses because when I ride them I feel free and flying. It's one of the best feelings in the world!

I am very open with my likes to music's, books and movies. I love any music with a good beat or catchy rhythm as well as traditional music (western pop, Kpop, hip hop rap, RMB, country, cultural music from Pacific, Asia, South America). With books I usually prefer adventure, fantasy, science fiction but nothing hurts with a little comedy, romance, history or horror. Also, my movie preferences are mainly comedy, action, science fiction, adventure, fantasy, romantic comedy and crime. But definitely don't forget anime!!!

I flew to China alone, aged 17, only a few days after the Air Asia plane went down, to begin a new life in a foreign country on the other side of the world in a country I couldn't really speak and with little knowledge of its history.

But I have many, many more amazing and interesting stories to share with you!

I have explored a wide variety of different areas around the world, from an isolated, low economic subsistence village in Sigatoka, Fiji to a large, vibrant romance city in Dalian, China. In each place I visit I exchange the English language and Western culture for an insight into the hosts' own. I want to be one of the locals so I enjoy playing sports with the locals, learning new crafts and skills and getting cooking tips as well. And I am never far away from playing games with children! I often find myself surrounded by the wonder and joy of local children. Not to mention my love for sightseeing particularly offroad and my love for nature.

I can offer my time to share my stories, knowledge and I am an English teacher so I can teach you about the language and culture. Plus I can help around the house with any work you have: cooking, cleaning, babysitting, gardening and farm work.
