About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live a fun life, be unconventional, be happy, and help others do the same!
ABOUT ME
I'm 27, married and starting a family, living in yurts (yep) in the mountains of North Carolina and trying to live a fun and lighthearted but fairly self-sustainable existence while also being very technology oriented, so go figure. I love to do fun and adventurous things outdoors and spend wonderful time with artwork, crafts, and relaxation indoors. I have family and many animals nearby to keep me happy, but always love to introduce new people into the healthy insanity that we maintain here!
PHILOSOPHY
To dance each day, to sing whenever I feel like it, to love the world and its people, to look for our Father and Mother in all things and listen to guidance when it is given, to trust my own insight and intuition, and rely on all life experiences to feed into a situation rather than taking any moment at face value. I am an occupational therapist who understands how we go through life by doing things, and I am a doer as well as a thinker about being a doer, and believe everyone has the right to do something important to them regardless of disability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not many experiences yet, but would like more. Mainly in college on a couple road trips I did some couch surfing with friends of friends, but not organized through this CouchSurfing community.
Interests
When traveling, I'm interested mostly in getting to know the real story of a place, doing a little bit of the tourist thing and learning some history, but also getting to know local fun and interesting places and people. When at home, I do a lot of woodworking crafts, scrapbooking, and other artsy things, hang with my husband and our pets, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors, playing my guitar, getting together with friends and family, walking in the rain, being barefoot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done many amazing things already, but swimming with dolphins in Mexico was up there on my list. Also skydiving in the pacific Northwest, traveling in Cape Verde, Africa, marrying my first and only true love after 10 years, and building my very own house have been highlights of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic woodburning skills, batik dying for wood craft, paper making, and many other craft skills. Also can teach about yurt building and the natural building method of cob. I would like to learn more about natural building methods and sustainable living, and always love learning more crafts and music!
