Hello! My name is Samnung, and I live in the peaceful countryside of Chhouk, Kampot, Cambodia. I love connecting with travelers from around the world and sharing the true Cambodian lifestyle.

I started this project to support low-budget travelers, host cultural volunteers, and help orphans and underprivileged children in my community. My home is open to kind-hearted people seeking meaningful experiences and authentic cultural exchange.

This is more than just a place to stay—it's a space for community, compassion, and purpose. I especially welcome gap year travelers, retired explorers, and anyone interested in giving back or supporting a grassroots mission in Cambodia.

I believe in kindness, mutual learning, and building friendships that go beyond borders.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended to join CouchSurfing by Dr. Josefu Deyama.
He used to stay and visit my family in Phnom Penh city and helping our children in community too, while he visited us in Cambodia in 2010.
We have been keeping in touch until now.

I want to give travelers, students, and guests — especially those with low budgets — a safe and welcoming home in Cambodia. I also hope to connect with kind-hearted people who want to share happiness with our local community and children.
