About Me

Eat, Pray, and Travel. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I would like to be able to meet people (in a less risky way, I think?). To learn from them and to teach back some of the things I've learned from life.

Interests

My major interest right now is traveling.

Traveling for me is a form of learning in a very fun way.

Learning oneself, other countries' cultures, traditions, other people's behaviors and many more.

Traveling helps me grow better as a person. You get to know your strengths and weaknesses. Your ability to adapt to changes.

Through traveling you'll also learn how to communicate. Sometimes you'll have to speak a foreign language and sometime to have to use crazy sign language in order to be understood.

These are only some of the reasons why I love traveling.

  • dining
  • cooking
  • traveling
  • socializing
  • languages
  • sign language

Music, Movies, and Books

When, I'm not sleeping, working, eating, or traveling, I'm most likely to be reading.

I love to read books that have a romantic genre. I've read books like Slammed (Colleen Hoover), One Night Series (Jodie Ellen Malpas), Gabriel's Inferno (Sylvain Reynard), and many more.

Sometimes, I also watch movies. I love the animated ones like Despicable Me, Frozen, Big Hero 6, and many more.

I'm also a sucker for happy endings so I don't usually miss watching every fairy tale movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I've done is when I traveled solo for the first time in my life.

I went to Singapore on my own for my 24th birthday.
It freaked my whole family especially my mother.
It was only a 4 days and 3 nights trip but still I was a female, alone and in a foreign country without anyone from my family/friends to help me if I'm in danger.

I did everything on my own, hotel/airfare bookings. Getting from the airport to the hotel. Getting my own food, exploring the country on my own. Taking my own pictures (though this part was kind of awkward). Talking to strangers to ask for directions. Haggling to buy souvenirs and many more.

I know it may not be a big deal for others as SG is a very safe and very easy country to travel but for me it was my biggest achievement that I've done for myself. Not for anybody else but for myself. It made me grow as a person and most especially, I think it boosted my confidence even just a little.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm,,, I think I can teach you how to do your philippine income tax?

I can't be left in the kitchen without making a disaster so I would like to learn how to cook.

I also would like to learn more foreign languages. French is on the top of my list. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel/life stories and maybe I can help with the household chores, just not cooking. :P

Countries I’ve Visited
