Try and find what I want to do.
20 years old Indonesian-Chinese studying in Taiwan at the moment.
I went to Seattle for 1.5 years for college before, so I've travelled a fair bit of the US.
My parents like to travel ever since I was small, but they were always traveling with the travel groups. My previous visits to Japan, Korea, China and Malaysia were when I was small. We went to Europe fairly recent though.
I had my own taste of traveling on my own (with a friend) when I finished my term in the US - a month across the US. Not a road trip though, and we didn't necessarily backpack. We had a fairly large luggage behind us, haha.
I'm an open-minded and a chill kind of guy. I don't judge people entirely by first impressions - as long as you're interesting! It also takes a lot to get me angry and stuff since I brush most things off.
I'd like to meet new people! I've been having too much time holed up by myself not meeting people.
Glance over at my interests, because I'll love to meet people who share mine. :)
Live and let go.
Everything worth wondering about trying is worth trying, even if for just a experiment.
Time you enjoy wasting is never time wasted.
I think you can kind of guess how I feel about life. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've never couchsurfed - though I've had hostel experiences before. :)
Music! Post-rock, experimental music, electronic music, indie music.
I love to go to concerts! Though sad to say I don't enjoy most mainstream music.
I play a bit of football/soccer, too.
I like Japanese culture. I'm a bit of an otaku, but don't worry, I'm still a normal person - just one that likes anime. :)
I like learning languages to fluency. My goal right now is to speak 4 languages fluently by the time I'm 25. 5 years left for Japanese and Mandarin. :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - post-rock, electronic music (DnB, dubstep, IDM, etc.), experimental music, indie rock, Japanese music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Encountered an old man in Chicago, ditched the day's plans and talked to him for hours on pseudo-philosophical stuff (I like to talk about these stuff, even though I'm shit at it), went back to the hostel only to be met with a riot in South Chicago, then going up the inner city loop of Chicago metro to avoid getting caught up.
This guy is amazing - he could read a stranger's body language instantly and can kind of gauge what or how they're feeling or thinking right now. Literally street-smart.
