Hi I'm Sam! I grew up in the groovy little city of Memphis, TN, but have been out in Los Angeles for about three years. I'm currently studying Neuroscience at USC. I'm a certified Wilderness EMT and I am training with Big Bear Ski Patrol.

I have used Couchsurfing a few times before, first during my travels to Crested Butte, CO. I had a wonderful experience! There truly is nothing like seeing a town through the eyes of someone who loves it. I was hosted with kindness and great conversation. I'm excited to use this website to meet people, and exchange ideas and culture.

As a student with 9 other housemates, I'm currently not in a position to host. I appreciate the open hearts of hosts, and one day plan to open my home to travelers as well :)

Interessi

I spend most my free time wandering around the state of California. I like to ski, bike, backpack, surf--anything that gets me out under the sun. I love going to art museums and concerts.

Musica, film e libri

I'm into all kinds of music, from old school rock and bluegrass to jazz and rap. In the past few months I've gone to shows for Hiatus Kaiyote, Father John Misty, and Ratatat. My favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. All-time favorite read is Slaughterhouse Five, and I love a good Oliver Sacks book.
