I'm Sam (or Samuel if I'm in trouble). I'm 30 years old and from a Gravesend, Kent in the south of England, but I have been living in Lewisham in South London for the past few years.

I'm a special needs teacher in a high school and help children between the ages of 11-16 who have autism, dyslexia, ADHD and speech and communication difficulties. I'm also a part-time journalist and work for UEFA.com, writing the live text commentary for Champions League (Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Spurs, Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid etc) and Europa League (Athletico Madrid, Arsenal, Marseille etc) football matches.

I would love to see as much of Taiwan as possible and hopefully, find a job and here. I would like to meet local people who can show me around and help me with food I can't identify. If anyone does have a couch free, that would also be a massive bonus!

I'm an English Language graduate and freelance teacher. I'm very happy to help hosts improve their English language skills in any way they would like. I'm also a journalist and have several years experience working in marketing, and I would be willing to help with any English writing (business, creative or academic).

I can play the guitar to a good standard and would be keen to share my knowledge...if you have a guitar, of course!

I'm planning on staying in Taiwan to find a teaching position and I would love to learn Mandarin and to learn about Taiwanese culture.
