Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Samuel and I’m from Newcastle, England. I recently finished studying Law and before becoming a solicitor I want to meet new people, explore new surroundings and step outside of my comfort zone.
I’m an active, positive minded, and passionate person. I always have a smile on my face, no matter what, and I love to chat, share and listen to other people’s opinions and life experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet other fascinating travellers from all over the world who I can share exciting, new and interesting experiences with. I think that Couchsurfing is a fantastic tool for enabling this and is perfect for travellers looking for alternative experiences to what they would normally receive.
Interests
I have many interests in my spare time and like to involve myself in activities which keep me active, allow me to explore new places and enable me to meet new people in the process.
I am also keen to develop new skills which I am able to do through language learning, photography and my interest in cooking food. Participation in each of these three allows me to combine my interest with the development of a useful skill. This helps to make me a more well rounded individual every single day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Growing up and to this day I have a varied music taste which includes indie pop, rock, jazz, and folk. I love finding new music whether it's from the past or the present. My favourite artists include The Stone Roses, Bombay Bicycle Club, Sam Fender, Nina Simone, Noah and the Whale and Two Door Cinema Club.
When picking books and movies I love the genres of fantasy and Sci-Fi! I love reading books and watching movies which explore these concepts and really allow me to think about things from a different point of view. My favourite movie series' include Lord of Rings and Star Wars. And some recent books I loved were Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and the Mortal Engines series.
In 2018, my New Year's Resolution was to watch as many classic films as possible and this was an incredibly exciting challenge for me. My favourites included: the Matrix, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Taxi Driver and Groundhog Day. Each movie really interested and excited me, keeping me captivated throughout!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling solo around the world while volunteering and backpacking in countries both in Europe and Asia. Meeting incredible people, engaging in new experiences and seeing some unbelievable places!
Teach, Learn, Share
I recently started learning Spanish and I am keen to develop this skill further through language exchanges between English and Spanish and other learning opportunities.
I am also always keen to learn new recipes, learn how to use new ingredients and learn how to improve my ability in the kitchen! If you are willing to show me a trick or two that would be an incredible experience for me!
