Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Samuel Klein, living in an apartment in Leuven with my wife Karen Adriaensen, both 26 years old. I'm working as an architect in Leuven and I enjoy music, drawing, good beers and going out with friends. Karen also recently started working as a process and IT-consultant. She also has a degree to teach mathematics and religion at a highschool level. In her free time she plays the piano and boardgames.
Last summer Karen and I went backpacking through Europe via Interrail for two months, visiting many places that were new to us and staying with many awesome couchsurfing hosts. It has been amazing to learn its ways and to make so many great friends along the way. Now we are back home again and would be happy to give something back to the community. We are looking forward to meeting you and the travel vibes you bring along!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have found couchsurfing to be the best way to travel, immersing ourselves in local cultures and have memorable times with the people we meet. It allows to maximally unlock the flexible potenital of the Interrail traveling formula and find locations to stay in a more or less spontanious manner. Moreover, it is a welcome way to cut traveling costs, allowing us to visit amazing places that might otherwise be out of our reach.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies that make me think, have unexpected twists or nice cinematography. Christopher Nolan's films are popular examples; Memento is super cool. Karen usually enjoys films or books where she does not need to think too much though.
We listen to both older and newer artists, jazzy and soulfull or rock and rap; whatever fits our vibe really. The go-to are the great Belgian artists! From Jacques Brel to Stromae and Tourist lemc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This Interrail trip! We went swimming in the cold Vltava river in Prague, in the Danube and the Mur in Austria...; there's plenty of adventures to talk about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A token (usualy local beers) from the last place we have visited, good conversations and architecture trivia.
We always clean up nicely after ourselves and like to cook simple meals for us to enjoy together.
