About Me

🌍 About Me

Hey, I’m Samuele, 23 years old from Turin, Italy, now living in Genoa, where I study Product and Communication Design.

In 2023, I spent about six months traveling around the world with Couchsurfing and Workaway. That experience taught me a lot — mostly about people, cultures, and the kind of life I want to build. It was less about sightseeing and more about connecting, listening, and learning from everyday moments.

🧭 Interests

I’m vegetarian, passionate about cycling, and I love techno music — especially those long nights that blend into sunrise.
I enjoy design, conversations that go beyond the surface, and the quiet feeling of discovering a new place without a plan.
At home in Turin, I live with my parents a small hamster who somehow manages to run the place. 🐹

✨ What I Value

I appreciate honesty, curiosity, and small gestures — sharing food, exchanging stories, or just being present.
For me, traveling is a way to stay open, to keep learning, and to see how differently people live and think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe that the best way to discover a place is through the people who live there.
Traveling, for me, isn’t about ticking places off a list — it’s about sharing moments, stories, and everyday life.
I love meeting people with different backgrounds and perspectives, and Couchsurfing is the perfect space for that.

Interests

My interests are quite simple: I like traveling, cycling, design, and music — especially techno.
I’m always curious about how people live, think, and express themselves in different parts of the world.
I enjoy cooking vegetarian food, discovering local markets, and having long talks about culture, creativity, or life in general.
I love moments that feel genuine — a shared meal, a sunset ride, or a quiet morning coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

In love with SCI-FI movies: basically every Christopher Nolan movie.
I’m into animes, documentaries and thriller movies. My favourite Netflix series is Dark.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once left Italy with just a backpack and spent six months traveling across the world, staying with locals I had never met before. It turned out to be one of the most meaningful decisions of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Italian (and a few local expressions from Turin 🇮🇹).
I speak English and Spanish, and I’m always happy to improve both.

I’m mostly vegetarian and love cooking simple, tasty meals — often inspired by different cultures and people I’ve met while traveling.

I’d love to learn about local traditions, daily life, and new ways of thinking or creating.
For me, sharing experiences — whether through food, stories, or music — is the best part of traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer good company, a curious mind, and a calm presence.
I enjoy cooking (mostly vegetarian dishes) and would be happy to prepare something together or share a meal.
I always try to be respectful of the space and the people I stay with — for me, it’s important to leave good energy behind.
And of course, stories, music, and laughter are always welcome.
