to learn as I travel, and to have a neutral or hopefully positive impact on everyone I meet along the way
Currently living back in paradise at Farewell Spit in NZ for a few months.
That I'm young, yes, but that I've had an incredible life and lived more that most. So if I die tomorrow - c'est la vie. With that in mind, I live for today and don't worry about tomorrow. Cause really, what's the worst that can happen!?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sadly I can't host when I am at Farewell Spit because I work for the owner of a holiday park. But if you're staying there or are visiting for the day get in touch cause I love to show people around. There is so much to see in such a small space between Wharariki Beach and the spit.
If you're interested in wwoofing in the area I can help with that too.
100% positive, inspiring and educational. A small but yet huge group of people, all with a common interest and lot to give.
Taking care of the planet,
And enjoying everything that it has to give...
Festivals, music, dancing.
And crazy stories!
Getting back to nature.
And learning, lots. As much as I can, from everyone I meet.
Music, Movies, and Books
I saw two great films recently - Life of Pi and Samsara. A must-watch if you get the chance. Life of Pi is also a favourite book of mine. Along with 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and many, many others. At the moment I read anything and everything, typical I guess when you're on the road.
Music-wise, anything from beautiful classical music I can mellow-out to, or anything up-beat that makes me want to move..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My family's faces when I surprised them with an unexpected trip home... You can travel the whole world and see some crazy things but sometimes the most amazing are just the simplest things.
Teach, Learn, Share
Something that I'm very interested in at the moment. I want to learn lots, every day about everything I can. Cooking, nature, sports, culture, languages, sailing... A cobbler taught me how to repair shoes the other day. And then a possum-catcher took me hunting. I'm open to anything!
