About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible

ABOUT ME

When I was about 8 years old, my father walked past my bedroom and I was lying face down on my bed crying. He walked over, say on the bed and turned me over and asked, "what's wrong Darling?" And then I wailed, "I don't want to grow up!!".
I still don't want to grow up, so I'm not going to.
I still eat rediculous amount of sugar and get sugar highs, I occasionally make noise and sounds just for the sake of it, playgrounds are still a source of amusement for me and I do have a slowly growing rock collection.
Most things fascinate me, I love art in all forms.
I LOVE conversations that make me think and challenge what I already know.

I caught the travel bug when I was 14, I did a sixth month exchange program in Italy and as a result, I'm a very independent person a little headstrong, but who isn't?
The list of places I want to visit are forever growing and I fear I'll never be able to see them all, but I will do my best.

PHILOSOPHY

The biggest thing I believe and try to live my life by is to be a good person and have no ill wishes towards other people and try my best to not cause other people harm.
I believe that if people were nicer to others, with not thoughts of personal gain the world would e a better place.
I guess what I'm tying to say is a good deed is its own reward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People fascinate me. I've grown up in a house where people of other
countries were always floating in and out and the different faces, accents, hair colours, cultures and thoughts intrigued me. I want to host people. Having exchange students and being part of a host family, was one the most excellent part of my childhood.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had little couch surfing experince, but everything I have heard about it is excellent and I'm so super keen to both host and surf and the world.

Interests

Music - I play trumpet and study classical singing
Animation - I love it. My DVD collection is almost only animation, everything about it fascinates me, it's the little things, the attention to detail that the animators include that just blow my mind.
Nature stuff - I grew up on the beach, so I know all the sweet local places that are just beautiful! I love hiking and camping and picnicking, being outdoors makes me feel excellent.
Craft - although I have little time to do it. I do like to grandma-out and partake in a spot of knitting or crocheting. I also love to sew
Reading - I devour books! Mostly fantasy. I love fantasy.
I'm sure there are other things, but these are the most important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love it all
Music - I love jazz and folk music, especially folk music from Eastern Europe and Serbia.
Movies - animation
Books - Fantasy. Patrick Rothfuss, Raymond E Fiest, Terry Goodkind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far the thing that takes the cake for me is sitting for 12 hours on someone lap in the tiniest car imaginable as we drove cross country from Öndörkhaan to Dadal in eastern Mongolia.
Oh! And then the 3 days of horse riding!
Or chilling our with my host family at a saints day celebration and facing with all the locals.
A Buddhist wedding.
Who can really choose just one?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take you to my classes and pass you off as an Australian.
I can take you to band practice or live local music gigs.
My mother does belly dancing, so we can take you to a class or a concert.
My father does karate, I can take you to a class or a tournament.
I can take you places where we can get out of the city.

I want to learn new recipes and try new foods. Learn anything new!
