ABOUT ME

I live and work in Eumseong, South Korea as an English and psychology teacher. I commute to Seoul on weekends to attend church at New Philadelphia Church and to hang out. I love going to 찜질방.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hung out, cooked, and drank with Agata in Krakow; got to have dinner and wine with Marta & Anya's family in Wroclaw; had interesting conversations with Eugenius in Warsaw. overall, an excellent experience.

兴趣

I love to play and listen to music. I'm always open to listening to new things. I play guitar (not very well) and the drums (pretty well, though it's been a while). If you play any instrument, I'm always down to jam. I'm a very good djembe player. i also believe that you don't need instruments to make music.

One of my favorite past times is playing American football. Though more and more, I'm gaining an appreciation for soccer. One of my favorite childhood memories is playing football in the church parking lot.

I love world literature, though I never studied it formally. My two favorite authors are Alexandre Dumas and Fyodor Dostoyesvsky. I write prolifically in my journal and i've got a few ideas for novels. But we'll see if it ever amounts to anything.

I have a passion for food. I love to try new and exotic dishes. I also like to experiment with cooking.

I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine.

I am an excellent djembe player and percussionist in general. I'm always down to jam and teach someone how to play a basic beat.

I always want to learn about new cultures: the food, drink, history, language, people, etc.
