Salam (Hi!)

It's been a while since I am using couch surfing and I love it ! And btw after a while I am editing "about me" since I think I am not exactly the same person who joined it ten years ago :)

I am from the south west of Iran and currently living in Germany and studying for my masters degree in Heritage studies.
I love getting to know people and their traditions. That's why I have traveled a lot and gained precious experiences. I don't travel as much as or as long as before and love to have my routine but the adventurous spirit in me is still alive and I have learned to satisfy it even in daily life.

I work as a graphic designer and I love designing. I have worked on digital calligraphic compositions as a way to keep this heritage alive.

I also enjoy biking and always explore the area around where I live.

I don't travel to see more places. I travel to meet people in different places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After coming to Europe and traveling to some cities, I noticed that the tourism industry has turned many cities looking and feeling exactly like each other, same souvenirs and the same chain markets and restaurants. I was a bit disappointed since I like to travel more deeply and experience the local vibe and culture of the place and of course the best way to achieve that is through Couchsurfing. For me Couchsurfing is not about it being free, it's about living the life that locals are living and spending time with each other, cooking walking talking ( I have even gone to my hosts' workplaces several times!). So I always appreciate authentic genuine local experience.
