About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, explore, and learn.

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty social, relatively easy going (I sometimes get hung up on organizing things), and very open-minded. Having taught drama in the past, I have a good sense of humour and a touch of dramatic flair (hair toss!).

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm just looking to test out staying with a few people here and there on short travels; eventually, I plan on hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to the site, and am hoping to use it for my next trip!

Interests

Scuba diving, travelling, reading, writing, hiking/wandering, truly funny TV shows.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books=travel or set in cultures other than my own (fiction/non-fiction); Karen Connolly's "The Lizard Cage", Jamie Zeppa's "Beyond the Sky and the Earth", Aravind Adiga's "The White Tiger". There are too many to name.

Music=indie, mostly, but anything will do. I have random taste that also includes some top 40. I'm terrible at following bands/names of bands.

Movies=Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Lola Rennt, Dirty Dancing...I (unofficially) stopped watching movies a few years ago because I kept falling asleep--no matter how good they were.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ziplined off the Great Wall in Beijing. That was pretty cool, especially since I'm terrified of heights.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone want to brush up on their literary analysis or essay writing skills...? ;)

I make really good omelettes, pizza and banana muffins. I could teach that, too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Oman, Philippines, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, China, Germany, Kuwait, South Korea, United Arab Emirates
