About Me

ABOUT ME

I don't know if I can call myself an easygoing person. Actually I have a lot of expectations about other people (like beeing polite, helpful, tolerant, ...), which I try to fulfill myself too.

Interaction with others is fundamental to me. I like to meet new friends and share experiences. But no need to talk 24/7. Beeing able to be silent for some time without feeling awkward shouldn't be a problem. Also I sometimes need some time for me and to be alone. Don`t feel any rejected if I request some alone time.

I like to travel and also do some last minute-trips. That is why I usually don't know in advance, what I am going to do in the next weeks. That is why I prefer last minute requests.

My cat is the queen of the house :) she can be sometimes a bit bitchy, but in the endshe is the leader. So I just need to adapt.
I am really crazy about cats and I usually try to hide it, when I see one. But my eyes will get that special glimmer. But still, I can talk about other topics than cats :)

I really can't deal with racism or intolerance. If you are any of these, you better not contact me.

I have troubles with eating fructose, means i cant eat especially apples, onion, garlic, pepper bells and much more. Additionally i am picky too....

I am a smoker and I smoke at home. Nevertheless I have no problem at all to go outside for smoking when being hosted. I also prefer not to sleep in a room when it is full of smoke.
I can perfectly adapt to your rules.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got to know couchsurfing and its spirit a long time before I registered through my sister. So I took my time to think about if I like to be part of this community. And I have to admit, it is one of the best ways to get to know other countries/cultures/people or show my hometown and spend time together.

I like to share knowledge, thoughts, be helpful, give hints, provide a safe place, discuss, learn...

Interests

Movies, my cat (and other cats), reading books, going out with friends, enjoying nice days/evenings outdoors, traveling, nature. In winter I love to knit socks and to do puzzles

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and I read a lot. It is really hard for me to start reading a book, not to like it and stop reading it. There are only 2 books that I stopped reading because I didn`t like them. I usually feel the urge of finishing a book when I started to read it. I am even part of a literature circle for some years already, which is an enrichment to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thailand, Turkey, La Reunion, Sri Lanka .... but each place I have visited left some amazing memories.

Assisting a vet at my cat's surgery when she was a baby.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit socks and I know a lot about Excel. Sharing stories about life, cats and van life travelling.

At the moment I am learning to slow down, live a basic life, try to understand different languages, ..
