About Me

Hey there,

My name is Sandy, I am from Scotland and just arrived in New Zealand with my girlfriend. I recently worked for a company that teaches English to foreign students, well English with a Scottish accent; it keeps the children on their toes.

I appreciate that I do not have any references but we all have to start somewhere :)

If me being new to Couchsurfers is a concern, I have an Air B&B account with a lot of references and I can also add you on my Facebook.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am completely new to couch surfing it was recommended to me and I have been told many awesome stories. I appreciate that this is a cheap option to travel, however what attracted me to Couchsurfing is the opportunity to meet likeminded people and it is something I have been eager to try for some time now.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll keep it short and sweet, putting my favourites for each as I could ramble on and write an essay on this!

Music: I really do love all music, my favourite band right now are Mumford and Sons
Movies: Ahhh this is a tough one, I'm going to say V for Vendetta because I believe it is relevant
Books: Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, a very inspirational read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting a tribe in Wammena, Papua. I consider this an amazing thing because it was such a memorable experience for me and one I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing stories, listening to other peoples experiences. I'm sure we all have a something to teach and also learn from each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help out with anything during my stay, it would be great getting the chance to give back in anyway possible since you are being generous enough to open your home to me.

Cambodia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
