My personal philosophy is e a s y : I like knowing people... passionate people, smart, with opinions (whatever they are), open-minded, curious, spontaneous, creative. Especially people who are passionate and are doing/have done something to create change in the world.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm an active member, host often, meet-ups, and other CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS as a host, and am overwhelmed by the dozens of outstanding good people who come to my door. I host often and maybe 300+ couchsurfers have been to my home, and only one was psycho and the rest are good to fantastic. I'm lucky to meet so many excellent friends. Several returned here within a few years 2 or 3 times. Multi-generational host: CS guests had their kids staying here a few years later.

Where else in life can you find that?

Interests

(where to begin) Meeting people, sharing culture. Exploring nature's wonder. Hiking. Meditation. Arts. Language. Music. International Relations. Fitness, Books. Technology, oh yes,
and, T R A V E L.

Music, Movies & Books

My tastes are so wide, I don't want to exclude some to favor others. In music, I love classical-opera-rock-rhythm & blues-Brazilian-West African. The only genre I avoid is country, really avoid.
I've worked in the film industry, so it's too hard to pick favorite directors. Many.
Books, my library is full.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Too many. So many.

Teach, Learn, Share

I share a love for hiking through forests, redwoods, mountains in the country. In the city of SF, I can lead anyone to unforgettable walks. Former art museum curator. I enjoy discussion of international events, film, art, and music. Let me be a guide through the food and street music jungle that SF offers. I want to learn whatever you have to teach me. I'm a foodie if you want to cook in my kitchen.

What I Can Share With Hosts

I hope to meet people who enjoy hiking, and seeing nature. I'd love to help someone get started on a stone sculpture, or to build a clay model for a casting. My interests begin there, but I will stop for now.
