ABOUT ME

After spending many years living a stressed city/career life, I am partaking deeply of a regular regimen of nature and travel therapy! RBy participating in life with people in new cultures, or immersing myself into forest, mountains, or jungles, I find myself happily returning to a deeper and truer version of myself. Luckily, I can do my work from anywhere as long as I return to California every couple of months or so, so why not go everywhere??

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I've just joined Couchsurfing, I've been traveling extensively for the past few years and have been blessed to meet many amazing friends from across the world this way. These experiences have inspired me to dive deeper through the Couchsurfing community!

Interests

Broad and varied. Travel, history, art. Yoga, meditation, qi gong, taichi. Snow/kite/surfboarding, bicycling, hiking, backpacking, motorcycling. Music, dancing, learning guitar, clarinet, and piano. Slow food, raw food, whisky, beer, and wine. Ancient cultures and ceremonies. Sustainability and permaculture, urban/rural/vertical farming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was so awestruck by the beauty of the countryside in Sweden (actually the whole country, she's beautiful from every angle) that I was inspired to buy an inexpensive older motorcycle when I got to Barcelona, then ride it for the rest of my trip through Europe. Six weeks of sheer bliss, visiting friends along the way, staying or going as my heart desired, riding through valleys and mountain passes of heart-aching beauty. At the end of my trip I was able to store the motorcycle with a friend so I can do this again...and again...and again...
