ABOUT ME

Over the past 5 years I've been reluctant to plant my feet in any place for too long. More and more I feel the need for roots, but can't quite scratch my itch to travel. I'm in the process of working towards a trip around the world which will hopefully quell the urge to roam; at least for a while.

PHILOSOPHY

knowledge that is true comes from experience. some parts everyone's experience are different; some are the same. it is important to empathize with our differences and embrace our similarities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have some friends who have participated and some who are still participating. I have only surfed once, but have hosted many times.

兴趣

I really like being surrounded by trees, water, big rocks, sand, laughter, music, snow and sun. I like long conversations next to campfires, with strangers and old friends. I love riding my bike, backpacking, snowboarding and playing my guitar.

there is no genre of music i can't dig. I really love any music that is thought provoking and honest. I can listen to Otis Redding for weeks straight and still want more.
vonnegut is probably my favorite novelist, ed abbey a close second.

i slept on hay in a barn stall in the swiss alps for 3 days, was charged by three grizzlies in the back country of denali, and spent 4 nights deep in the amazonian jungle of bolivia.

I'm a decent snowboarder, guitar player, gardener, cook, and mtn biker. cant seem to focus on mastering one skill. I am interested in learning more spanish, more guitar, and more about sustainable living.
