About Me
Vanakkam Makkalae!
This is San, originally from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India and currently living in Luleå, Sweden. I’m a curious person who loves exploring places, meeting people, and learning new things. I speak Tamil and English fluently, and I’m learning Hindi, Japanese, and Swedish. So feel free to help me practice!
I enjoy reading, watching movies, cycling, walking, and having deep conversations with friends or strangers. I’m passionate about becoming a good physics teacher someday, and I love listening to people’s stories and perspectives. I also dabble in python coding(definitely not a pro), but I enjoy the process!
Sometimes I just walk or cycle alone, sit somewhere quietly, and observe people passing by. I find beauty in the emotions on their faces which is like watching life unfold in real time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here to connect with people from different cultures, share stories, and experience places through the eyes of locals. I love the idea of exchanging kindness and learning from each other. I’m here to surf, and I can host too.
Interests
Im very much interested in trekking, exploring cities and trying local food, listening to Tamil songs (for their lyrics), cooking spicy Indian food (basic survival level), learning new languages and cultures. I also like to observe people and their emotions. I do python coding. Last but not least, I like minimalistic lifestyle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sandhan Valley trek was unforgettable. We reached the top by jeep, had breakfast in a small village, and then trekked down. It was my first time rappelling that too twice in a day! The thrill, the views, and the two-day adventure I really liked it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share my knowledge of Tamil language, culture, and music especially the meaning behind Tamil songs, which I enjoy for their poetic lyrics. I can also teach you some basic python programming and simple Indian cooking especially spicy South Indian dishes.
I’m always eager to learn new languages and cultures. I’m currently learning Hindi, Japanese, and Swedish, so I’d love to practice with native or fluent speakers. I’m also curious about how people live in different parts of the world. Your stories and perspectives are always welcome.
I can share my time, stories, meals, and space. I enjoy deep conversations, spontaneous walks, and cooking together. If you’re into music, food, or just want to sit and talk about life, I’m all in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my time and my stories, spicy Indian food with local spices, meaning behind Tamil songs I hear, help with cooking like chopping, cleaning, etc (if you want to cook), a cozy space to stay, a bath towel and access to laundry (with advance notice).
