ABOUT ME

Long story short: I am Sanne, 22 years old, and I love to travel, and that I think cs a great means of getting in touch with locals, which makes you feel more connected with the country you're in than if you're just following the tourist crowds.
In my spare time I like to dance, listen to music and play the piano a little. I am always very curious about food and want to try all kinds of food, and I also like to spend my time in the kitchen preparing it. Last but not least, I am also interested in other things associated with culture and by travelling I want to get to find out about traditions, worldviews, and ideas.

PHILOSOPHY

We should travel more in our daily lives: everyday a new journey may start when you wake up.

Interests

I spend my time studying economics and trying to enjoy myself as much as possible in my spare time. I like to cook, listen to music, dance, go to festivals, hang out with friends, read a book, drink some wine and relax in the sun. I think these are the things everybody does to try to make him/herself comfortable.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: any kind, don't watch them that often so haven't really developed a special preference. maybe drama or documentaries
music: many kinds:folk, jazz, funky, techno, electro....
books: can barely find the patience to read... wish i had it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been a guide for a once only tour through the town where I grew up, an old fishermen's town, because somebody was needed with English proficiency. During this project, I have learnt so much about the richness of the history and landscape of this small town that I've really learnt to appreciate the tiny place. So it made me really appreciate where I come from -- still, I'd love to travel because I realize that many other places have their own fascinating stories.

Teach: you can learn so much about yourself from silence
Learn: I always want to learn to dance, any kind of dance
Share: friendship and a welcome feeling
