I work as a Software Engineer in a top MNC. I write code for a living.

In my spare time, I am traveling, making friends and discovering new places(Prague has a lot of hidden gems).

I love to travel and the more I travel, I discover that there are many different ways and kinds of travel. Travel by bus, train, flight and ship were fun, but they started to feel limited. So, I prefer to take long road trips whenever possible. On my road trips, I've travelled to Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Leh, Ladakh in the mighty Himalayas. All the other countries, I've visited by 🚂 or ✈️ or 🚢 or 🚌 .

I do visit the popular places, but I don't spend too much time on them. I like to explore the culture and the way of living of the people. Each of my travels only made me a better person. I can tell you endless stories about them and would like to hear about your travels as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm discovering that the best way to know a place in a short time is to see it through the eyes of a local. Every time I travel, meeting a local always gives me a perspective I can never get on my own. In Prague, I like showing people around like a local and it is always fun to get to know travelers while at it. I've shown around several people on their visits to Prague and sometimes even discover new things and now I'd like to take a step further and host you at my place.

And one day, I will visit your place. Going to a new place where you already have a local friend is a great way to travel.

Interests

I love hanging out with people. The place usually doesn't matter, but my preferences are long walks or short hikes at the city center or by the river side or in the parks or in the forest followed by having beers in the numerous pubs in Prague followed by things like bowling, shisha, dining or exploring the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not tied to any specific genre of music, but any music that makes me remember or feel things from my past.

I'm a big time movie buff and watch a ton of TV shows. Seinfeld, Freaks and Geeks, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Lost, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, TAHM, That 70's show, Weeds, OITNB, iZombie, Stranger Things, Boston Legal and yes, Game of Thrones amongst a lot others.

My reading has gone down lately, but I read whenever I find time. I never watch a movie before reading the book it was based on. It has always been Book > Movie, but there are some exceptions like Fight Club and Shawhshank Redemption. I've enjoyed reading Harry Potter, Hitchikers guide to Galaxy, The Martian, A song of Ice and Fire, God Father, Shawshank Redemption, Immortals of Meluha, The fault in our stars, Q and A, The Outliers, The Emperor of all maladies, Learned Optimism, The Fountainhead and a few more.
