About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the immensity of the world feel a little cozier

ABOUT ME

Shall I tell you over some coffee?

PHILOSOPHY

Learn something new often. Open your mind to new things and you'll be surprised how great the world can be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting friends; it's a wonderful gift to be able to share your home!
I also love to travel; if I ask to surf, I promise to be a good guest;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too bad no one ever seemed to want to visit a tiny town in Picardy, France, when I lived there; if anyone wants to see Davis, CA, come on over!
As for surfing, I've only surfed with friends in the past, but am looking forward to meeting new people here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once when my husband and I were traveling in Georgia (the country) I got a wretched parasite. After being hotel-bound in T'bilisi for days, I finally made it out with him for some dinner. I think I was having soup (Kharcho, maybe?), and could barely eat, but we were sharing each others plates, like we normally do. Two Georgian men called us over to their table, and we eventually understood that they loved us sharing our plates - they're a big "sharing" culture. And wow! What followed was rounds and rounds of drinks, food, and broken discussions on hip-hop with these amazing hosts. These guys taught me that no matter what the circumstances (or how badly you feel), hospitality and openness are the best things for making one feel better!

Teach, Learn, Share

Travel Advice: Being hydrated on strange travels has saved my bacon more than once - whether you're in rural Armenia or New York City, if you're feeling bad, first order of business is to rest and have something to drink.
What I'd love to learn: to grow plants! I enjoy them, yet can't keep them alive:(
