About Me

Hi, I’m Saqib Ali, currently living in the beautiful city of Gilgit, surrounded by stunning mountains and nature. I’m a business school graduate with a passion for entrepreneurship, running a few small ventures that keep me busy and motivated.

Beyond work, I’m someone who values meaningful connections and believes in lifelong learning. I enjoy meeting new people, exploring different cultures, and exchanging ideas and stories. While I’m still discovering my hobbies, I love trying new things, whether it’s a recipe, an outdoor activity, or diving into an interesting conversation.

I’ve joined Couchsurfing to connect with like-minded travelers and share the beauty of Gilgit with others. Whether hosting guests or exploring new places myself, I’m excited to create memories, exchange knowledge, and make the world feel a little smaller and more connected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love the idea of connecting with people from all over the world and sharing authentic experiences. Traveling isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about meeting new people, exchanging cultures, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

Through Couchsurfing, I hope to build meaningful connections, learn from others’ experiences, and offer the same in return. Whether it’s hosting travelers or being a guest, I’m excited to contribute to a global community built on trust, kindness, and shared adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I enjoy a mix of genres, from soulful classics to upbeat contemporary hits. I love discovering local music wherever I travel, but some of my go-to artists include Coke Studio Pakistan, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran. Music that tells a story or creates a vibe always speaks to me!

Movies:
I’m a fan of thought-provoking dramas, inspiring biopics, and feel-good comedies. Some of my favorite movies are The Pursuit of Happyness, Interstellar, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. I also enjoy watching regional films that showcase diverse cultures and perspectives.

Books:
Books are a gateway to different worlds! Some of my favorites include The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, and 1984 by George Orwell. I love reading about personal growth, business, and novels with a touch of philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done is starting and running my own business from scratch. It’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey that taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of hard work. Through it, I’ve not only gained financial independence but also learned how to connect with people and build lasting relationships—a skill I cherish when meeting new friends around the world, also all the treks I have completed so far
