Overview
About Me
I used to write online product descriptions for a large electronics company and then I was a freelance writer/receptionist/background "actor" who spent most of my time saving money for travelling and wishing the Canadian dollar would bounce back. Now I'm travelling around the world for a year hoping to meet as many people as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started a year long trip around the world in August 2016. So far I've driven through the southeastern United States, travelled through England and Scotland, and lived in Paris for a few months. I'm interested in Couchsurfing because I would love to meet people on my travels and see what it's really like to live in each city I visit.
Interests
Film, television, pop culture, ballet, hockey, football, running, skiing, art, literature, live music, cooking, ice skating, hanging out.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movie: Of all the movies I've ever seen my favourite is the underrated 1999 comedy "Dick" starring a teenage Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams. It's seriously the best movie you might have never seen.
Music: I like pretty much everything. I used to say everything but country and rap but now I love those too so...
Book: I like all the girly classics like Jane Austen and biographies the most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove the scenic route from Austin, Texas to Key West, Florida by myself in a bright yellow Kia Soul -- nine states over five weeks. This was a big deal for me because I barely ever drove before, but it was so much fun.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook and bake tasty veggie food. I'm super tidy and easygoing, whether you want to hang out and see sights or just chat about whatever.
