About Me

Hello world!

I'm Sara. I come from Iran where I used to live in Tehran. Currently, I'm living in Japan as a graduate student, studying Basic Medicine. I speak Persian (native), English and a surviving amount of Japanese.

I face lots of challenges on a daily basis in my life here. But, I still love to explore Japan and Japanese customs. Despite all the physical, cultural, and academic challenges, I enjoy my everyday adventure.

To introduce myself more, let me talk about my hobbies. I enjoy reading very much and I just love anything with a hint of a story in it. I enjoy discovering where I live at my own pace. I'm curious to know people, their culture, and look for similarities between languages. I'm also interested in history and neuroscience related topics!

I'm new here and I hope to be able to gain valuable experiences together with you.
See you around :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I travel, I tend to go where the locals are and try to connect with them and learn about their culture and every day life. I have visited many cities of Japan with the same purpose and done many home stay experiences. When I learnt about couchsurfing from my friends, I just thought this is exactly what I want.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

deciding to live in Japan :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have done cultural exchange programs in different cities of Japan (in schools and international festivals) and will be more than happy to present about my country and provide first hand information about various aspects of living in Iran. I play a kind of Iranian percussion drum called "Daf" and I can tell you about it.
Of course we can do language exchanges which is something that I'm very passionate about!
