Currently in Tallinn, Estonia attending grad school. Currently living in a dorm so won't be able to host until September at the earliest!

I dream about hiking the Santiago de Compostela and backpacking around South America some day.

Animals are the great love of my life. I adore them, and really enjoyed visiting a shelter in Thailand where you could take a dog for walk (Lanta Animal Welfare).

Skiing is how I get through cold winters! So wonderful to go outside even though it's freezing. I'd do it every day if I could.

I taught Japanese middle school students English and have quite a few funny stories from that.

I like to have a beer or cocktail, but I don't drink much more than that. I'm not much of a partier.

I grew up in (Southern) California. If you come to the USA and I have enough space to make you comfortable, I'll return the favor in a heartbeat!

My friends would say I'm laid-back, punctual to the minute, and independent.

I'll try a lot of food, but I can't eat much fish, and entire animal bodies are impossible for me (my friends tried frog in Cambodia but I couldn't eat it!)

If you host me, you don't have to spend all your time with me! I'd love to get to know you if you have the time, but I'm fine going out on my own and exploring.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a brilliant idea! How amazing it is to be so connected across the world and open our homes to each other. It's easy to be afraid and wary of people you've never met, and I respect that trust you have to let people in your most private space.

I travel often and usually stay in hostels, but many of my friends have used couch surfing and have had wonderful experiences! They got to see where the locals live and have fun, as well as hidden treasures that you wouldn't see in tourist areas. I want to meet many people from around the world too!

Books: Harry Potter (Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite!), His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. Currently reading A Clash of Kings in A Song of Ice and Fire/the Game of Thrones books.

Movies: Pan's Labyrinth, Forrest Gump, Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier, The Untouchables (a French comedy), Clueless, Mean Girls, Fargo (movie and TV series).

TV: Stranger Things, Veep, Parks & Recreation, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Hey Arnold, Orange is the New Black, some anime.

Music: Everything but rap and metal! If you're a big fan of those genres, I'll give them a listen.

I've climbed Mt. Fuji, skydived in New Zealand, touched tigers in Thailand, and saw Angkor Wat at sunrise! How lucky am I to have had so many amazing things to write here instead of just one.

I can help you practice English too if you're not fluent. I taught a group of older people funny English expressions here in Japan. If you want a jogging buddy, let's go together!
