About Me

Hi everyone, my name is Sara and I'm from Italy.
I have a degree in Communication Sciences and I currently work as a community facilitator in a local social cooperative: we help citizens accomplish their projects in order to improve their community and to take action in participatory events and programmes, in collaboration with the Municipality.
Before this job, I've worked for 10 years in a hotel, so I could often practice english, spanish and some french and I'm also used to get in touch with a lot of different people, respecting every culture.

I try to live in an ecofriendly way and I like to be connected with nature. I'm an empathic person and a good listener: any story you'll share with me it's going to be a precious gift!

Ah, of course I'm an open minded, polite and tidy person, capable of living in a shared accommodation ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is the best way of travelling: get in touch with local inhabitants and cultures and - why not? - learn something new. Through CS I've met amazing people that sometimes also turned into great friends.

As soon as I had the chance, I've started hosting surfers at my place so I could give back to other travellers what my hosts gave me. It also makes me feel abroad even though I'm home ;)

Interests

It's not easy to give specific examples since I have a lot of interests such as music, theatre, movies, art, dance, books... Well, I'm sure we'll find some common ground!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Nicaragua for a working-holiday where I learned natural construction using sand, clay, straw and water: seen a beautiful country, met heartful people and learned something I can do with my hands. The perfect travel!
