About Me

I am from Connecticut where I live with my parents and twin brother. I currently attend school in Vermont at a place called St. Michael's College, which is just outside of Burlington. At school I am studying media studies, journalism, and digital arts with a minor in psychology. I'm not exactly sure what I would like to do with it but I would be really interested in going into advertisement, marketing or public relations. Something where I would still be able to work creatively. I try to stay active so since getting to school I started to play for the women's club rugby team. Definitely a bit scary at first, but a sport that has made it's way into my heart because of the incredible team I have. I also am a huge skier, and try to go whenever I get the chance back home.

Right now I am studying abroad in Glasgow for a semester. Since I go to a liberal arts college back home, I have a liberal arts curriculum which I saved a lot of courses from for studying abroad like an English class and History. So for this semester I am taking 2 different Scottish literature courses (good thing I like to read), an art history course, and an intro to Scottish culture (something I thought would come in handy as I will be here for 4 months).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never been to the UK or anywhere in Europe before, so this semester is my chance to really get the most out of it, and see all that I can see as I'm not sure when I'll have the opportunity to come back. Couchsurfing sounds like a great way to meet to some really interesting people, plus it's not going to break the bank. I also love a good adventure and meeting new people. In past travels I tend to find places to stay that are off the beaten path because you learn more about where you're staying and get a less touristy view of things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that I once did and would do again in a heart beat was go dogsledding. I went once in Canada and I absolutely loved it. It was so much fun, and so different from anything I've ever really done before. I also had a chance to play with the puppies who stole my entire heart, and forever since I am fully convinced I need a Siberian Husky. I'm really hoping to do more amazing things in the future and through my travels that way I can add more to this!

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can share with hosts are some great stories and a different perspective. My goal whenever I meat someone is to make them laugh, I believe that laughing is the absolute best way to make friends. I also think that everyone brings something unique and special to the table, so sitting down and talking about any and everything is a really amazing opportunity to learn about someone and about the world. So if my stories and experiences can make you laugh or make you think a bit differently, then that is the very best thing I can offer.

Countries I’ve Visited
