About Me
This is the section I struggle with.... :) I have a great passion for travelling, movement in all its forms (dance, yoga, exercise, you name it, i love it), reading and eating (a the moment i'm not eating anything with a a face, eyes and a mum and dad :) ).
I am currently cultivating all my passions at one, being on the road, finding the time to train, and eating (maybe a little too much of the latter...), and am really enjoying it all.
The only reason I am not hosting people is, of course, that I do not have a house I can call my own, otherwise it would be open to the couch-surfers out there who want to connect!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love connecting with other like-minded travellers, however the most rewarding experienced I had so far was the true immersion in a local culture. Two years ago my partner and I volunteered in Siem Reap (Cambodia) with buddhist monks, teaching english to disadvantaged children. As of today, that is one of the best things I've ever done and it's showed me the importance of really getting to know different cultures through a cultural exchange with the locals.
So, together with joining Helpx, Couchsurfing seems an excellent way to do so.
Interests
Globe-trotting aside, my biggest passion is dancing (ballet, contemporary but really any form of dancing). I have done a little circus - handstands - training, which i mean to pick up as soon as I'll be somewhere for longer than a few days...and I have done quite a bit of pole dancing. I also love Yoga and I am heading to India to do a proper teacher training to get qualified.
Movement aside, I love studying and learning (anything), knowledge is a great thing, although the more you know the more you realise how little we do know.
I am studying too whilst travelling - first time I try on-line courses - and I am enjoying doing things at my own pace.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music...it really depends on the mood and situation. From dubstep to reggae to electro, to rock...
Movies, an old time favourite is 'American Beauty' and the less well known 'Awakenings'. One that I nevef get tired of is 'Frida', and I loved Joaquin Phoenix's 'Her'.
Books...'Brave New World', 'Lolita', 'A million little pieces', 'Let's pretend this never happened'... And I'm currently reading 'The origins of political order: from prehuman times to the French Revolution'.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hand glide over Rio de Janeiro.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a Personal Trainer I can shout at you whilst you do 100 push ups. I'm qualified to do that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The many, many stories on the adventures and experiences I've had since when I left Italy years ago, and even better, since when I started my solo adventure in South America and then Australia (...then NZ and South East Asia) 4 years ago.
I can share my mum's best recipes for amazing spaghetti or lasagne (although unless I buy 'mock' meat I won't be able to cook them for you...sorry!)
