About Me

Hello! Hej! Ciao! Bonjour!

I have traveled a fair amount, often on my own and just love meeting new people. Currently I work for an international education and cultural exchange company. I have a background in theatre, mostly devised, avant garde productions. I am also a painter and writer.

PHILOSOPHY
Life is long, not short. Live as many lives as you can in the time you are here. evolve, learn and be persistent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it is an invaluable experience in reaching out to people in the global community and connecting on a personal level. I believe building a global family and intercultural understanding its the best way we can fight the negative effects of extremism and xenophobia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I have never been in living situation to host I have couchsurfed in Scotland, 6 years ago. I want to get back out there as I start traveling more and meet more people!

Interests

art of all kinds. Street art, pop-up theatre, devised dance pieces based on the works of Salvador Dali, the post-modern and the classics.

I also love dancing- blues, swing, salsa. On my weekends I prefer to hike as much as possible. Other than that I like cooking, reading, history. I like to think I'm a hoot but I'm also pretty low key.

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues and bluegrass, alternative rock, and cheesy corny musicals.
My favorite authors are Zora Neale Hurston, Kurt Vonnegut, J.K Rowling and George Orwell. I also mindlessly consume Game of Thrones and other pop -lit.
Movies? most movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Among the coolest things to happen in my life are singing Circle of Life in a cave in Ireland, hiking through Hampstead Heath and stumbling upon a random Vermeer at Kenwood House, performing guerrilla Shakespeare at the tower of London and I moving to Boston pretty much on a whim.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tell me where you have been, your most awesome stories, your favorite experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I make the greatest grilled cheese sandwiches known to humans, I am also all about quiches, vegetarian bolognese and eggplant parmesan. If you host me I would love to cook for you at least once.
If you are musically inclined I'd also love to jam and sing over a beer.
Also, hokey Boston kitsch and American History fun facts and trivia.
