Hi!
I am Sara: a 27 years girl born and raised in Lecco in the North of Italy. I moved to Rome for Med University and I have been living there for 6 years. I graduated this year and became officially a doctor.
I love travelling. I have been travelling in different countries with my family since I was little: we all love to see places different from home and experiencing their cultures and their food!!
When I was 17 I spent a school year (2009/2010) in the United States in a small city close to Pittsburgh living with a local family and studying in the local high school with AFS. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life because it was the first time I had the chance to exit my comfort zone and face by myself a new reality made of new awesome people and adventures.
I spent my last year of University (2017/2018) in Clujnapoca, Romania with an Erasmus project.
In August 2017 I did a month internship in an hospital in Gdansk, Poland with IFMSA and next month I am doing a month internship in Botucatu, State of São Paulo, Brazil with the same organization.
Thanks to all these experiences I became more and more open minded, flexible and sociable.
I am a bit shy (but still love to make new friends), easygoing and always hungry.
I hope Couchsurfing will help me make new connections during my travels.
