Couchsurfing is a great platform to experience different culture practically.

For movies I can name : Her, Black swan, Beautiful mind, Seven Pounds, lion , Malena, Hitch....
PS: I don't like horror movies at all!!!

Books: my favorite is "The little Prince".
I enjoy every kind of music but it depends to the atmosphere.
