Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals and get a different perspective on a place, make friends and share ideas. And hopefully, perhaps most importantly, to learn something.

Interests

I've spent the past five years travelling and working on and off, so I guess you would say travel is my main hobby (because apparently work is not a hobby).

I'm a big reader and I'm in love with language, especially idiom and grammar. I believe the way we think is shaped by the way we speak, from our native tongue through to our daily vocab preferences.

I've never been particularly sporty, but I cycle to commute and love to go on a good hike or bush walk when I get the chance. Born into ocean air and love the sea.

I find spirituality, metaphysics, ethics and religion super interesting. I'm quite open-minded and love to look at things from altnerative perspectives. Always striving the challenge my own beliefs.

I lived zero-waste for a year, pretty successfully, although occasionally I ordered myself a pizza after a stressful fifteen hour shift.
