Overview
About Me
I have been bouncing around the continents as teacher at international schools (I am happy to chat to any educators curious about this lifestyle.)
I lived in Costa Rica for 5 years, and miss it dearly. After that...made my way over to Malaysia to teach for a year, and got to see a bunch of Asia, but not nearly as much as I would like! Sadly, the area I was in just didn't work for me and I popped back to Latin America to reside the coastal part of Salvador, Brazil.
I speak English, and I used to speak Spanish..until I moved to Brazil and started to learn Portuguese, so now I am just a Spanguese, Portugish, mess.
I enjoy a good outing, and being active, but am much more low key these days. I am learning my area still- but am good to offer advice for what I know so far. My coworkers keep me pretty busy at work and socially, so down-time is even more valuable now ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am still hesitant about hosting, but am opening up to the idea. Even if not to host, I'd be willing to give advice or meet up for some things.
Interests
I love being outside, hiking, and especially being in the water-be it an ocean, river, lake, or pool...but waterfalls win it all. I enjoy telas (aerial silks), pole dancing, yoga, rock climbing, swimming, and gymnastics.
On a more low key note, I adore finding cozy little cafes, teas, and reading a good book. I am also an avid Netflix binger.

Music, Movies, and Books
It is really difficult to narrow this one down, as I jump favorites.
I always love instrumentals covers (and yes-I will recommend you listen to Disney Pops Orchestra), a good jazz, and am a sucker for a good musical sound track. Right now my Spotify playlist is the Jennifer Lopez "All I Have" radio, but last week it was Meatloaf. You never know!
Books: Jitterbug Perfume - The beginning is so weird and a bit hard to follow but it is my all-time favorite. Some other recommendations off the top of my head are The Paris Wife, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, and The Temple of a Thousand Faces.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One? No- In a world full of adventure how do we choose?!
1. When living in Costa Rica I visited Montezuma, and there was a 15 meter waterfall. We hiked a crazy, and not so safe at the time, trail to get to and I jumped off of. The whole trip itself was just incredible to boot.
2. I took a helicopter ride over Iguazu fall - stunning.
3. Saw 3 whale sharks while scuba diving in Thailand!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't really know what to answer for this question.
I can teach pole dancing, and elementary school subjects? I am happy to share to cool fitness classes in the area I have been to!
