About Me

I'm a born traveler, curious and adventurous. I'm a thinker, a talker, and a listener, eager to learn something I didn't know. I am always in the mood for new experiences. I've lived in a community for 7 years, so I learned to live closely together and to share space. I like parties, outdoor adventures, but I also love reading a book on the couch. I'm not the kind of traveler who goes sightseeing, I just like to hang around and get inspired by new people and places. I often bring my laptop to be able to work a bit. I'm a writer, I make up stories for a living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host quite a bit when I lived in a big squat in Amsterdam. I had very nice experiences, but I also got a bit tired of all the really lame requests of people who just wanted a free hotel. When I moved somewhere else my living situation wasn't very suited to receive guests and I forgot about Couchsurfing for a while. Now, after all the corona restrictions ended, I'm very happy to be able to travel again and I feel a big desire to go back to the intimate and spontaneous way of traveling I practiced back in the day, in which hitchhiking and Couchsurfing were very positive influences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far it has always been good, refreshing, and surprising. it's really nice to bring the travel atmosphere to your home when you can't travel yourself and even nicer to get a taste of home when you're far away.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

driving a motorbike through the himalaya was the most amazing thing I've done in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking. If you're up for it, I might you read a story I wrote. If you're in the mood I love going on a hike, or we can build a fire and sing some songs, or we can have a drink and talk into the night, and if you have to work or are otherwise engaged, I can totally entertain myself.
