About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keep an open mind and have adventures!
ABOUT ME
Well, my name's Sara, and I'm 28 years old, a native Oregonian, and a traveler! I love being on the road, exploring new cities, towns, landscapes, meeting new people, trying new foods, hearing new types of music. I'm all for life being an adventure, and I think it's incredibly exciting to start out a day without any idea where I'll end up or what I'll do.
I'm on a bit of a last stretch before I head back home, and enroll in school, which I'm excited about. I love learning new things, and hope to have a couple new and enlightening real-life experiences before I go back to college.
PHILOSOPHY
Have courage, and never stop moving forward!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I'm purely a surfer, but when I go back home and start up in school I would love to host. Meeting new people and making them feel welcome would be a really rewarding experience, a pay back to all the great people who hosted me, and fun on its own, of course!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had a great time with everyone who has hosted me! They are all so kind, helpful, generous, and fun. I think couchsurfing brings out the most interesting people to participate, and I can't wait to meet the next one!
Interests
Reading, traveling, talking to people, finding new, delicious foods, history, art, architecture, films... I also have an interest in ghosts, so finding haunted places is a lot of fun. I really like seeing and trying out new things each region has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh, so many! Too many to list!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in San Francisco I had the opportunity to see a food market on the piers. I forget what it was called but it was amazing. I'd never even thought of so many different varieties of foods. Then I went to Chinatown on the New Year, and I was completely amazed by the decorations, the fireworks, just... everything.
In Sedona, AZ, I saw so many shooting stars, I was amazed. Also went on a moonlit hike up Bell Rock- we ended up getting lost, but it was well worth it.
And New Orleans just blew my mind in all sorts of ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like listening and learning all kinds of things from all kinds of people! My passion is words. The English language is a magnificent, complex, ever-expanding thing- all languages are, really- and if you take the time to appreciate it, just talking can be delightful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, stories, and endless gratitude :)
