ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Sara! I grew up on a farm in Michigan and love being outdoors. I enjoy fishing, hiking, and working outside. I'm studying to become a teacher and am so so close to completing my degree. I am an avid fan of History and enjoy learning more than anything. I am very musical as well; trumpet for ten years, ukulele for six, guitar a little here and there.

I am quite a tall person and my sense of humor comes out the better you get to know me. In the morning I love a strong cup of black coffee and a sunrise, but that doesn't deter my sweet tooth or my nights out by much. I love animals and have a dog of my own back home. I have a taste for adventure that can only be subdued with some travel here and there.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am desperate to see the world, but I don't want to break the bank. I am unable to host at the moment, but I hope to be able to get some surfing experience under my belt. I depend unpin the kindness of strangers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie! I'm not new to spending the night on a friend's couch so I can only imagine the opportunities present on staying with someone completely new!

Interessen

I am an admirer of Thomas Jefferson (and American History in general), long road trips, collegiate marching band, hockey games, jamming on the ukulele, intelligent conversations over controversial debates, and of course a good cup of tea or a strong cup of coffee.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love classics: The Great Gatsby, My Fair Lady, Frank Sinatra. Then I get out there with Streetlight Manifesto and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I can never settle for just one genre. Just keep the pop culture stuff at bay please.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I am part of my university's marching band and every performance I did with them completely blew my mind. Playing incredible music with 300+ people has been an amazing experience for me.

I have white water rafted in the Colorado River. I've accomplished high achievements in my studies. I made a duct tape bust of John Barrowman,. I arm wrestled a movie theatre attendant.

One of the most beautiful things I have seen is the inner dome of St. Paul's Cathedral. Every sunset over the farm at home takes my breath away, too.

Teach: Well I'm going to be a teacher, but essentially kindness and how to fold origami stars.

Learn: How much in common I have with the people of the world. Also how to say 'hello', 'goodbye', and 'I love you' in as many languages as possible.

Share: My perspective on the world. And any food or drink I have at the time.
