About Me

Open minded, friendly, and eager to learn. Trying my best to experience life at its fullest. I'm an Elementary Education student with a specialization in foreign languages (French and Spanish). I love to experience new places like a local and stray from the beaten path.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After getting back from a month in Ecuador, I'm planning my Europe trip for next summer! My best friend since 2nd grade and I will be backpacking through Europe... hitting as much as we can in the few months we have. We want to meet people and make new friends in each town we visit - what better way to do that than through couchsurfing?! We'd love to stay on your couch, go out to eat, or just meet up and chat with the locals of where we're going!

Interests

I love animals - if there's a stray dog, I'll try to pet it. I've been a vegetarian for over 10 years now, ever since I made the decision in elementary school!
I'm also passionate about education and children, which is why I'm so excited to be a teacher after I graduate!
In Ecuador I found out I really like adventure travel. I'd go rafting or waterfall-seeking again in a heartbeat.
I'm not the best cook but I LOVE food. Especially pasta (I can't wait to go to Italy!!!).
I discovered this year that I really, really love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music... lately I've been getting into rap music which is pretty surprising if you know me well.
My favorite movies and books are Harry Potter. They're just too good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In high school my friends and I threw a masquerade ball to raise money for our local animal shelter. I'm kinda proud of that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you about small-town life in the US, how to play guitar, how to make the best grilled cheese sandwich in the world, whatever you want!
What I can definitely share with you is a great time with someone who wants to immerse herself in your culture and town.
